my new thang

i'm a joiner.
it's not really because i like to try new things. i do, but that's not really the main reason i am a joiner.
i'm a joiner because i am constantly trying ot find new people that think i am funny.
i am very selfish that way. please tell me i am funny.
anywho.
i have never been good at sports.
or acting.
or singing.
or painting.
i have no idea how to scrapbook.
but i have joined numerous clubs/organizations/teams in which i have had to do all of the above.
yes, i joined a scrapbooking club.
i was in the easter play at my church....for many years. until i realized i sucked at acting.
i thankfully wasn't in choir at school, but if there was a karaoke club, you can bet i would join it.
i took about 7 art classes in school. i think i got good grades in them bc i was "most improved".
always remember, start out TERRIBLY, then strive to be ok.

my new adventure is baseball.
yes, i have joined a co-rec softball team. i'm right outfield. basically the ball never comes to me, unless it is a left handed batter. and usually in that case, they can never get the ball in my vicinity. so i am just out there looking pretty.
the only good thing that i can do is hit the ball. for some reason God blessed me with maginally good eye-hand coordination. it could also be my intense dedication to be the next serena williams on the tennis court that have given me such awesome skillz. i'm not sure. either way, i have been able to successfully hit the ball at bat, who cares if it is slow pitch. i feel like i am helping my team out.
also, my team has an awesome name: Quik Sac Orange Crush. we are sponsored by a gas station in town called quik sac. YES. hahaha
it also helps that my teammates don't really care if we win or lose. and we have a healthy record of 0-5. i think we might win one game this season.

  1. Andrea...I think we might not win one this season. But it isn't about winning anymore, it is all about seeing how much fun/annoying we can be on the field.
