rodeo weekend part deux

When i say 'tomorrow' on my blog, i usually mean 'in a few days...or a week...or maybe a month'.
because i am dumb and i sometimes forget i even have a blog.
so i will finish telling you about my rodeo weekend because it is worth telling.
saturday night was basically like friday night.
i went over to my friend carrie's house and hung out with her friends that were in town from cheyenne. the rodeo didnt start until 7ish, so we were going to catch dinner before we headed off.
after a series of unfortunarte events (hahah, to book nerd in me did that), we ended up not getting to our dinner destination (olivers) until 6. we (carrie and i, sorry carrie, but im brining you down with me) are dumb and didnt actually think that the customer volume would change much during rodeo week. it did. olivers was PACKED. it took like 25 mins to get our drinks. we were absolutely starving, so we decided to stay and have just appitizers, but this took forever too. we eventually make it out of there just after 7 and race to the fair grouds where rodeo is taking place.
thankfully nolan (carrie's boyfriend) knew some dude that lived close to the fairgrounds, so we got free/close parking. we get to the rodeo right as the national anthem is being sung....we hadnt missed anything!! Whoop. The indian relay races were first (and hands-down the BEST part of rodeo). we met up with a big group of our friends....i think there were about 15 of us total. the guys decided to bet on the teams. it was fun. the rodeo was basically the same thing as the night before, but it was still awesome.
after the rodeo..there was this carnival that was in the parking lot of the fairgrounds. i love carnivals. a ton. i mean, if it was respectible, or paid you lots of money, i would be a carnie....or at least consider it. so we all ventured over to the carnival. out or our entire group only 4 of us rode the rides! it was insane! me and lish were riding buddies and carrie and preston/nolan were riding buddies (preston chickened out on the zipper, so nolan was forced, yet again, to ride it with carrie). IT WAS A FRICKEN BLAST. i hadn't been on carnie rides in years! it was AWESOME. so we eventually had our fill/they were closing down the carnival for the night, so we made our way over to the street dance.
carrie, stupidly, had a hot dog at the rodeo....never, NEVER have a hotdog at a public event. seriously. so the nasty hot dog mixed with the carnival rides made her quite sick. so they basicallt dropped me off at the street dance. i met up with michelle and christina and everyone else that went to the rodeo and hung out. it was a BLAST. i love the street dance. unfortunately i dont really remember much of it. i do remember dancing to SHOUT at the end of the night. anyway, rodeo weekend rocked. a ton.
