Alli's Birthday

Just got back from Pennsylvania last night.
My dad's family lives there.
It was a roller coaster weekend.

I LOVE my family out there. I had such a great time with them.
But we all got together for my grandma's funeral.
So it was a confusing weekend.

My baby sister turned 21 when we were out there.
Not the ideal time to be celebrating a birthday, but it was still fun.
We initially went to a bar called DiMarcos, or DiMiccos..I can't really remember.
It was a sausage-fest. I loved it.
We also found McLovin there.
And my dad knew him. It was awesome.

But after awhile, it was obvious that my parents were the oldest people there...
So we went to O'Gillies. It's like the American Legion in Sheridan.
IT ROCKED.

There was this wicked good band playing.
It was fun just hanging out with my family.

After we got Alli sufficiently drunk, the bar was closing.
As we were walking out, Alli screams "I NEEEED KFC!"
'Can we get KFC?!! I NEED fried chicken!! NOWWW!'
It was hilarious.
Mostly bc our family NEVER gets KFC. Ever.
And I have never once heard of a drunk person begging for fried chicken.
But I guess everyone has their drunk food.
Mine is a peanut butter sandwich. MMMM.

Anyway, I had a wonderful time celebrating with my family.
I took Alli and her friends out last night too.
That was fun.
But I feel old with them.

Valentine's Day....because, February

I have really uninteresting opinions about this specific holiday. I like it and hate it all at once. It's very confusing. Valentine's Day pros: Chocolate everything. I'm not a huge chocolate person, but if you want to feed me chocolate covered raisins/peanut butter/strawberries/bread, I probably will put it in my mouth. It's on a Wednesday this year. Hump day. Beautiful. I get to buy cheesy valentines for my friends and family. It's not like I can find WWE related stationary at Walgreens all year round. I have to take advantage while I can.  Gives you a reason to get a skanky hotel room with a hot tub in it. Never did that, but it sounds awesome.  I like making a big deal about dumb stuff...especially if it gives me a reason to drink prosecco with frozen berries in it.  Valentine's Day cons: For some reason, I am convinced I will receive an enormous edible arrangement. This has yet to happen. I'm not sure I even want it to, but there you go.

an uncomfortable clothing choice

For some unknown reason, Jorts have been the topic of many conversations lately. Jorts = Jean shorts. [GUEST NOTE: "Jorts” – a combination of the words “jean” and “shorts” – are used to describe the somewhat hideous attire often sported by NASCAR aficionados, Green Bay Packer fans, men over 40, and men who probably ought to be over 40. If you wear jorts, you probably have minimal relationships with women.
